There are many well kept secrets in Basingstoke, it is the home of Berry Bros & Rudd, Britain's oldest fine wine merchant, and of course, Smart Media! Basingstoke is also where Thomas Burberry started his business in 1856.

Basingstoke boasts one of the acoustically best concert venues in the UK, the Anvil and has a very lively and innovative Haymarket theatre.

Flying off to holidays is easily done from Southampton airport, it is only 30 minutes drive, quick and easy to park. If you prefer travelling without a car, the trains stop right at the airport.

When you feel like a day of pampering, just escape to the Nirvana Spa, not too far away by car.

For plane enthusiasts, Blackbush and Popham airfields are nearby.

Motor racing fans can practice their Top Gear performance at the nearby Thruxton Circuit.
